Abstract
Due to the effects of climate change, many communities in Nigeria are in recent times witnessing pockets of farmers/herders clashes. The intensifying clashes between the two groups of people have become a contemporary topic of concern to the country due to their profound implications for peace, security and the law. Adopting the analytical and doctrinal research methods, this article draws its data largely from secondary source of information, including textbooks, journal articles, newspaper reports and the Internet. The findings from the study show that the perennial clashes between farmers and herders in Nigeria can best be resolved through the instrumentality of the law or legal initiatives for that purpose.
